Goldcrest resting on bird trap
Again a
goldcrest throng at Sõrve säär. Since there was fog at sea a great number of birds stopped in the shrubs for the day, ticking. Fortunately I realised already at first light that only a part of the usual ten nets could be opened. But even with four nets it was hard work – I ringed 688 birds, 631 of whom were goldcrests. As the weather turned windy and rainy I will take a few days off now. But I will certainly go back again to Sõrve säär soon.
