Cranes migrating
Over the weekend tens of thousands of cranes moved from us, towards south. The migration was one of the most massive ones that have been observed over the years. See about events in Kihnu:
Cranes leave in triangular formations, one leg is often longer than the other. Resounding trumpet calls are heard, mixed with the beeps of this summer’s juveniles; their plumage is lighter than that of the adults.
The time of autumn sadness and of cranes leaving come hand in hand.
