Sparrowhawk in the osprey nest and other visitors

It seems that the visitor is a female bird that has been nesting northwards. The male bird’s underparts have rust-red bars and in size it is much smaller than the female. This summer’s young birds are more similar to the female but there is much yellowish-brown in their plumage. Around a couple of thousand sparrowhawks stay in Estonia over the winter

The pine marten spends most of its active time on the ground. A predator with a solitary life and nocturnal habits but in autumn quite often visible in daytime. Curious; for resting places uses tree hollows or other well sheltered places.
