Snowberry
Against a backdrop of bare branches and grey sky this once so popular ornamental plant, the snowberry, has become very visible. It is not a native shrub but it is so widely spread in the countryside as well as in urban green areas and in old parks that everyone knows it.
The white, outwardly appetizing berries are poisonous. Children have always made autumn „cracks“ by trampling snowberries under their boots.
