 ... or reproduction goes on. On Thursday the boar herd appeared on the feeding ground in daylight. The cautious male arrived into camera view a few minutes after the others. In daytime the visits are usually short since there are plenty of disturbing movements and sounds in the surroundings – life feels more secure when moving in cover of the dark. Many boar herds as well as young males, single or in small groups, know the feeding ground.

 

The weather forecast promises stable cold weather, the ground is gradually getting a frozen top layer under the snow cover, and so the popularity of the feeding ground grows among the forest inhabitants.
