The most pleasant surprise of today was that the grey seal camera works. There is no sun for charging the batteries, but air temperature is +1 degree and wind up to 10 m/s. Regardless of the weather forecasts, we can only hope that in the next few days even the tiniest amount of sunshine gets through between the clouds, to keep our set of batteries and the camera alive.
The sea is free from ice and the seal mothers are in a birthing mood. Some seal saplings have already seen daylight at the end of January. In any case, exciting times to come!
