View from Hall`s temporary „bedroom“ window
Snow and some thaw lasted until Monday evening. About forty centimetres of snow is now covering the tracks of Hall (Grey) and Habe (Beard). The following days carried with them strong northern winds, cold weather and additionally a little bit of snow and blizzard.
The winter is growing older and older. Hall and Habe are once again moving on their separate wolf-tracks. Hall is however accompanied by a female animal, but so far the forest has not revealed any direct signs of them being in heat. We`ll see if the coming weeks bring any changes. Nevertheless, most female wolves should be impregnated during the last days of February or the beginning of March.
