"Bird day" in eagle nest

On Bird day, Tsirgupäev in the Estonian folk calendar, people in the old days believed that the eagle would have an egg in the nest.
 
The late winter weather has been cold, even with the sunny but quite windy days. The white-tailed eagle pair Linda and Sulev still work diligently at the nest. Sulev is on the nest quite often, warming the nest bottom.
 
In the video Linda brings softer nest materials. Mating goes on from early morning.
 
 
 Sulev brings Linda some kind of smaller rodent as a token that during the egg-laying she can count on him providing for her, which was gratefully accepted. The camera view shows that Saunja bay is still hidden under a quite thick ice cover – it is still some time to fishing.
