On Tuesday night Klaara had laid the fourth egg in the nest.
The first egg we discovered in the nest on March 19th, but since the video stream has been patchy we can only suppose that the second egg was laid on March 21st. The third egg was discovered in the nest on the 23rd.
The Mobotix camera has two lenses. Through one we see what happens in the artificial nest and the second is directed towards the nest block opening, showing a black screen in nighttime.
The camera stream reaches the EENet server in Tartu by way of an Elisa MINT 3,5G connection, and we ask you please to have patience with interruptions in the service. The important thing is that Klaara and Klaus accepted the nesting place, as a gale broke their nesting tree last year. Tawny owls are extremely true to their location, in place throughout the year, and close by there were no trees with hollows suitable for nesting.
