A boar feeding ground is about one kilometre away. It is good that animals move on the camera site; the more likely it is then that other animals will investigate the tracks to see where they went and why.

 

The herd (sounder) of about thirty animals is made up of young boars and half-grown piglets. With sunshine they are not particularly interested in lazing at the nest. They roam about in the forest, root around in the soil and play – youngsters’ life. Adult sows are preparing for giving birth and some sows certainly have piglets in the „nest“; the heat period started in December..
