On Sunday Joosep and Urmas from Eagle club (Kotkaklubi) went to put the finishing touches on the web camera and the power system. The jobs got done and the 2013 season will be officially opened in the next few days.

 

To our amazement we discovered that during the day an osprey had visited the nest. The proper nest owner Ilmar still has some distance to fly to reach the site. Unfortunately it is not possible to identify the stray visitor – it had no rings on the legs. But it is good to know that the first ospreys have arrived already.

 

The stray visitor came to show itself for a moment on Monday morning too, and during the day shrill osprey calls were heard. We will see how things develop.
