Wild boar sow on nest with a few days old piglets.

 

You have to have a very trusting relationship with the boars in your home forest in order to manage to capture such an image, with the most ordinary of cameras too. But if one has been fed daily for years and no evil thoughts seem to be afoot, one might show one's piglets to the two-legged creature.

 

The sow has seven or eight piglets and it seems that they don’t get out of the nest as yet. The sow has five pairs of teats and each piglet has its "own“ teat, secured by fighting; in the foremost teats more milk flows. The striped baby coat is worn for 4-6 months.
