Linda laid her first egg in late winter, on March 13, and the second egg was in the nest on March 16. The white-tailed eagles must have started their brooding then. In those sunny days there were 18 degrees of cold in early mornings. The incubation period was still 35 days until the hatching  of the chicks started. Linda laid a last egg on the night of March 20. The chirps of the hatched chick is audible even in windy weather.

 

Väinameri (Straits Sea) is ice-free, fish is being brought to the nest. Pleasant nest life!

 

The eagles have a bone to pick with the hooded crows nearby, but this quarrel will not necessarily last and the white-tailed eagles are careful parents and do not leave their offspring alone in the nest while they are small.
