On Sunday evening a week ago the two stork chicks hatched less than a few hours apart. Their progress has been pretty good – the weather has been early-summer warm, there has been both rain and thunder.

 

Three eggs were not fertilized. Because of the changeable weather in Europe black stork female Tiina arrived quite late, and we discovered the first egg in the nest a few days later. But even the raising of two storklets requires a sizeable amount of work and effort from the parents.
