In the nest of lesser spotted eagles Eha and Koit a chick was hatched yesterday from the second egg laid.

 

As written before, spotted eagles start incubating from the laying of the first egg. The chick that was hatched first thus will already be one week old on Tuesday, an age difference of almost five days. Both hatched chicks in a nest only rarely fledge, but it does happen occasionally.
