From early morning onwards on Monday young lesser spotted eagle Kai was out of camera range, climbing the nest tree branches. On arrival of male Koit he quickly returns to the nest and feels himself to be the rightful receiver of the prey. The difference in size between the adult and the juvenile is already in favour of the juvenile, but Kai’s feathers are fluffier which makes him bigger.

 

There are perhaps only a few days left before leaving the nest...
