Team Rc & Co - winners of recent years' birdraces
On the coming weekend, on August 17th, the Estbirding birding club arranges the Estonian Open bird-watching event, or birdrace, for the 19th time. This year’s competition area is the Jõgeva and Tartu counties (Jõgevamaa and Tartumaa).
60 birders in 16 teams participate in this year’s rally: 8 Estonian, 1 Latvian and 7 Finnish teams will be competing. The race starts at 03:00 in the morning and ends at 17:00. During this time the largest possible number of bird species must be found in the competition area. The meeting takes place at Luua Forestry School in Jõgeva county, where the winner of the race will also be announced. The results of the race will also be distributed in the birder lists.
