Young ospreys in morning mist

Young ospreys Kaido and Kenno

The juveniles still spend the night in the nest and even in daytime it is a good place to beg food from the adults in. And when you don’t want to share the fish with your brother, you fly with the prey to the dried spruce behind the nest. The clever ravens have realised that it is easy to take over a prey from the young ospreys. At about eight in the morning such an event could be seen and heard. The distance is too great for a video recording to show understandably what is happening.
