Bear photographer`s experience

I went to the forest with the desire and curiosity to photograph a brown bear. I had never seen brown bear in the wild and did not have any fears either. There is a feeding spot for animals near Põltsamaa and also a hunters`platform up a tree in the same place. There is a large clearing covered with hay and surrounded by thicket which is about one and a half meters high. I did not notice anything while on the ground, but once I reached the platform up the tree, I immediately saw that a bear was only a few dozen meters away from me. It was pretty scary, female bear with three cubs. The already grown bear cubs were captured on photo number two and I was lucky to take the photo at all...

One of the cubs had already made its way to the forest for the time of the photos, other one one was hidden behind the female bear and third one was standing behind her. Picture quality is what it is, but try to place yourself in the photographer`s shoes.

Such an experience – is it beginners`s „luck“ and I could walk the forests without pointing the lens to the master of the forest for the next couple of dozens years?
