Assumedly the culprit has been recorded. A young white-tailed eagle came  several days to pose in camera view. To get a good overview eagles like to sit in a somewhat higher spot and on a couple of days it managed to sit on the web camera. The lens was covered by the lower part of the wing, and to start with it took some guessing about what or whom we had to do with. The fastening screw of the web camera is not designed for carrying the weight of a 5-kilo eagle, particularly when on taking off to fly the large wings are used for pushing off ...

 

We will see what can be done and when to restore the connection.
