After the snowfall
Prewinter is really such a period of changing weather. The snow cover is usually temporary, brief periods of frost alternate with thaws and a „white carpet“ can occur repeatedly. Weather forecasters already promise a thaw of several days with plus degrees.
Daylight is only barely over six hours, and about ten days remain to the start of the astronomical winter.
