There is not much snow cover in the forest, so the ungulates have no problems to get a hold of the food. It is good that the deer showed themselves, it helps to clarify how many of them are there around Ilmatsalu.

 

The forecast predicts frosty weather for a longer period and we`ll see if there will be some larger snow cloud mass forming on the ice-free sea. The soil is waterlogged from the abundant rainfall of previous months and it helps if the cold dries and airs the soil which is covered by a thin cover of snow.
