At least three stag groups go visiting in view of the camera. Most recently, the ones in the screen capture above arrived, and for them too the time of shedding the antlers is drawing quite close – we will see the younger males with their antlers on perhaps for one more week.
The antler ”bumps” (pedicles) of older individuals are swelling visibly.
