On Monday April 28th, beginning at 18.30
We will announce the winners of the contest Looduse Aasta Foto 2014 – Nature Year Photo 2014 and hand out Dancing Wolves. Also on the programme a photo show with the 700 best photos from the contest.
Aapo Ilves, Jaanus Nõgisto, Tõnu Timm and Eesti Kuningriik and Sandra Sillamaa Trad.Attack! will be accompanying with great music. The evening is hosted by Rohke Debelakk.
The Nature Photo Night in the Estonia concert hall begins at 18.30, doors will be open from 17.30. An exhibition and photo technology show can be seen and the “Loodusfoto Aastaraamat 2014 – Nature Photo Year Book 2014” is available.
Tickets at 9 EUR, 6 EUR for students, university students and senior citizens available from Piletilevi, Piletimaailm, from Thursday, also on site.
About the Nature Year Photo 2014 contest:
Estonia’s largest photo contest Looduse Aasta Foto was held for the 14th time this year. This year 1150 authors participated with nearly 8500 works.
The grand prize is a trip to Tanzania. The prize fund total is more than 10 000 euro.
First, second and third places have been awarded in three age groups and altogether fourteen contest categories, and honourable mentions as well.
Several special prizes have also been awarded, including best photo on the theme Gulf of Finland, best photo of animal of the year (ringed seal), best photo of the Bird of the Year (kingfisher), best photo of the butterfly of the year, the peacock ((Inachis io).
The works have been judged by a jury chaired by Rein Maran.
Jury members have been: Arne Ader, Märt Haamer, Heiko Kruusi, Tiit Leito, Sandor Liive, Tiit Pääsuke, Tõnu Talpsep, Urmas Tartes, Sirje Tooma and Toomas Tuul
