Uno with the antlers left as a "gift“

 

The owner of the proudest antlers in our webcam left his both antlers close to the feeding ground – as if as a thank-you to Uno Vait who arranged the feeding of the deer.

 

 

With the arrival of March the deer in the photo shed its antlers; younger individuals were seen still with antlers on April 19th. Deer antlers begin to regrow at once and the daily growth can be up to some centimetres.

 

Eleven deer were observed at the feeding ground, five of whom were males, all well fed: the winter was mild and the menu offered by RMK lavish – four car trailer loads of carrots were brought in, in addition apples and potatoes, in all almost three tons, plus three silage bales.
