Irma and Ilmar’s nest close up: from these three eggs the next generation of ospreys will hatch

 

Late at night when the osprey camera image is ”black” the brooders are entertained by the nightingale – a pleasure to hear, and to recommend to you too.

 

On quiet nights the song of a nightingale can be heard up to one and a half kilometre away, beginning in late evening and lasting until sunrise after which the singing fades away in a couple of hours.
