The camera weathered the storm well, but…
…as the winds faded, we started having transmission problems. Since the camera is situated quite far away, getting to it isn't all that simple. The back roads are impenetrable in places, even with a tractor. Yesterday morning, EENet's Urmas got this video of an eagle on an old branch stub. mms://video.eenet.ee/2008/2008-11-24.asf
During the day the web camera picture was erratic. We searched for the cause of the breaks in transmission. The snow the storm had blown on the antenna had melted, but the signal was still weak and due to this the transmission poor. We're obviously going to have to climb up to the antenna, which we can get to at earliest Friday (weather permitting). Until then we ask for your patience!
