"Eesti Loodus” 80 - CONGRATULATIONS!

Eesti Loodus (‘Estonian Nature’) is an in-depth magazine for people aware of and interested in nature. It particularly addresses the homeland nature, research and protection of it. However, Eesti Loodus does not forget events taking place elsewhere in the world. The magazine features news of nature and nature-related science and research as well as chronicles of Estonian nature conservation.

All friends and supporters are expected on Monday July 21st at 16.00 o’clock to the exhibition ”Eesti Loodus 80” in Tartu in the EMÜ Baer House at Veski 4.

In addition to the interesting historical exposition editor-in-chief Toomas Kukk and meritorous editor Ann Marvet (for more than four decades botanical and conservation editor of Eesti Loodus) will speak.

By now Eesti Loodus is already a little older – the first issue was published in February 1933, the first editor in chief was Karl Orviku, later Academician. Publication of the journal was interrupted in 1940 and resumed in 1958 – editor-in-chief Academician Erast Parmasto.
