Bloody crane’s-bill
As habitats the pretty flower prefer lime-rich and dry soils, thus Läänemaa, the islands and northern Estonia.
It loves light and grows in clumps with a height of around half a metre. The modest but pretty flowers are placed singly, diameter up to 4 centimetres.
Has the plant got its name from the crane’s-bill shaped fruits or because the leaves turn red in autumn?
