Flowering plants can be found, but sparingly

Northern hawkwees

Northern hawkweed; Canadian hawkweed    Sarik-hunditubakas       Hieracium umbellatum
A species to be found nearly everywhere: seen on road verges, fallow land, shore coppices where it grows in small clumps. Prefers drier habitats; a perennial Compositae family plant with quite pretty flowers.

Densely leafed as is also apparent in Arne’s photo; the stem is quite varyingly hairy as Arne’s photo shows, but it depends on the habitat. In open habitats about 30 centimetres high, a Northern hawkweed drawn out to more than a metre high in competition with other plants is likewise no rarity
