Tõnn seeks a wintering place

Late November weather in the Murcia province was cloudy and rainy, on account of which Tõnn stopped near Torre Pacheco. On December 6th, the weather improved and Tõnn began looking for his best wintering place. Since the only tool to aid him in the task is instinct, you might think it would take him a long time to find it. But Tõnn isn't in a hurry to get anywhere—it will be at least two or three years before he begins nesting.
At any rate, Tõnn flew north and northeast—it wasn't a dry farming region to his liking. Yesterday, the 8th of December, Tõnn flew midday between the Aitana Mountains and Costa Blanca coast. At 11 a.m. he was at the foot of the Puig Campana Mountain:

The Puig Campana limestone mountain (1.4 km high) is quite popular with alpine climbers:

From the summit opens a wonderful view to the coastal city of Benidorm, as well as the forests and orange orchards at the foot of the mountain:

From here Tõnn flew the morning of December 8th.

In ten days, we'll know more about his journey, but you can view his progress to date on the Google Map below:
