Introducing Saturday’s eagles

This morning all crow familymembers (corvids) were in place on the feeding site despite the storm. The ravens amused themselves with jumping against the wind on the new ice. As the weather grew worse,  it was pleasant to have a full stomach and get into a hidingplace.
During the day the storm winds in northwestern Estonia reached up to 27 m/s and the air temperature hovered around 0°C . In the night as the winds weaken the thermometer certainly will fall to -3°. There is no end in sight for the snowfall, today or during the coming night.

At least five white-tailed eagles have been observed with certainty during the week. Here a four winters old bird, fully grown but not yet sexually mature.

Young bird of two to three winters. If the foot ring turns out to be red, its hatching year will have been 2006.

Young bird seen for the first time on camera, presumably two winters old.
