Towards Sunday the weather grew colder and a crust formed on the snow. Wary forest inhabitants move less freely, to avoid revealing their positions in a quiet evening. On Sunday the five-member leading flock appeared at the feeding-place a little before two o’clock in the night.
The weather will stay frosty until Thursday.
