Just before 10 o’clock in the evening a boar appeared on the feeding ground – not to eat the grain remaining after the herd but to sniff if the rut of sows has started. The important doings have already begun in some forests, in camera view it seems that it is only just beginning. This will certainly not be the only male boar who is aiming at becoming a cavalier in the herd, plausibly even larger and more powerful cavaliers will show up. We will write about the relations between the male boars when their activities become more noticeable.
