A time arrives every year when our bears go to hibernate, and then, on average 4 months later depending on gender and age, wake up again with the arrival of warm weather. Since the bears living in Estonia are mainly vegetarians they have a hard time to find food in March-April when they wake up from their winter sleep. They look for everything that can be eaten in the forest - whether it is an animal come to its end, honeycombs in a beehive or an elk calf killed by wolves…
In both videos a quite large male bear appears that in addition to an empty stomach seems to have an injured forepaw. Besides the bear we can also see a wolf arriving to have lunch in broad daylight in the video.
