The gathering started on Wednesday evening, and how can the separate small groups appear there in hundreds as if on command? We will se if some males will manage to entice the whole gathering into the water. We truly have to do with social and playful aquatic animals. It is nice to to observe them ”among themselves” without interfering duties: giving birth, feeding the young and mating are all in the past.

 

Moulting, or change of fur, is what has brought gray seals up on land in all our seal rookeries.
