Since Friday the bittern chicks already go on longer trips near the nest. The bigger one was “lost” for 4 hours and the smaller chick has been making shorter outings.

 

Late in night the family was again in the nest to spend the night but it is evident that we will not see them for long any more.

 

 

Both show a keen interest in fishing. Do you remember your first fish from angling in your own childhood? (A question to those who have had this chance)
