Skilfully, it must be said. Small rodents are manoeuvred close to the smallest one; if it cannot get hold of them it would be its own fault but it manages. It even knows to defend the prey but not for long. The largest chick is observant, the prey will be snatched away if the attention of the small one slackens on eating

 

The middle chick goes out from the nest, sitting on its very own branch when it wants some peace. The characters of all three are a little different.
