Eaglet listening to a buzzard calling nearby

 

 

Dramatic in some ways, these last two and a half months.

 

To begin with, the attack by the hooded crow on the eagle eggs. Fortunately one egg remained intact.  The expected hatching of the chick and the enjoyment of nest life were pleasant. There are no very good images from a month back because the camera lens became covered with the eaglet’s poop. After the ringing, on May 26^th, the bond between the adults and the young eagle weakened: the male takes care of feeding, the female has been seen once.

 

We hope to see the young powerful bird fledging soon..
