During the last few days we have mostly seen an empty eagle nest. The young eaglet has performed his exercises on the branches of the nest tree, outside camera view. When the male brought something edible to the nest we saw them briefly in action.

 

In the video from Monday morning we can see a determined look in the eyes of the young eagle, then a little ”relief” before launching in flight – and the wings do bear … The weather was just windy enough to make flying a little easier.

 

In the afternoon eagle calls could be heard at the nest tree again. Flying as  we all have dreamt of is splendid, but for living fishing and surely also other eagle skills unknown to us have to be learnt.
