Team Rc & Co – repeatedly winners at the bird rallies, and so this year too

The 21st bird rally Estonian Open, organised by Estbirding and Viron Lintuseura,took place on August 15^th, 2015, in Ida-Viru County. 16 teams with a total of 68 members took part. For the first time a Lithuanian team also participated. The rally was won, with 141 species, by the Estonian team RC & Co.

 

The most interesting species that were encountered in the rally area were ruddy shelduck, grey wagtail and corncrake in Kalvi, in Oru Eurasian collared dove, in Purtse grey wagtail, in Narva Jõesuu sandwich tern, in Narva ruddy shelduck and penduline tit, in Toila black guillemot, in Kohtla-Järve bearded tit and in Maidla an ortolan bunting. Several teams also saw quails.
