A fertile swan family with six cygnets, already 3 ½ months old. Flying exercises have already started too by and by but only as a game yet.

 

There are more than 3000 breeding pairs of mute swans in Estonia this year;  in addition we see non-breeding juveniles moving in flocks whom the adults with cygnets – or rather the male of the pair - chases off from their feeding territory with raised wings, and the juveniles, be they then fifty or more, obey the signal…
