Matsalu nature film festival has started
The 13th Matsalu Film Festival goes on until Sunday, September 20th.
Films are shown at the Lihula cultural centre and Lihula Manor, the Haapsalu Cultural Centre and Ilon’s Wonderland film hall and at Tallinn zoo.
This year films compete in two categories, Nature (Category A) and Man and nature (Category B). Competing films are shown with Estonian translations, the remainder in the original language with English subtitles. The Matsalu Nature Film Festival promotes natural and sustainable modes of life and calls for respect for the traditions of indigenous people that are deeply rooted in nature. In addition to film fans and filmmakers, wildlife photographers and photo fans are expected to the festival. You can see nature photo exhibition, join workshops at the photo day and see demonstrations of the latest photo and video equipment.
