Autumn has been long and warm. Along forest paths and in the garden many plants are flowering, such that should already have gone ”resting” long ago. One has already got used to it.
But today, doing the winter bird census, a strange buzzing caught my ear. I looked down at the juniper front, and to my surprise I saw a dragonfly rapidly moving its wings. So it rustled there and announced that it was alive. But for how long? An hour later the first snow of this winter fell from the sky...
