On Sunday and Monday night the mallards again visited the spawning grounds but you can assess what they have learnt to do yourself. These raids occur at intervals of about a week. Although the water level has risen by about 10 centimetres it is quite likely that the mallards manage to plunder the spawning grounds of salmonids even in deeper water.

 

 

The otter had enough to do late on Monday evening as well in the night. We will soon tell you who more were seen at the river…
