Why are they still on the island?

Interesting why the seals are still passing their time on the island. After losing their baby coat, they are ready for sea life and by now should be able to learn how to fish. Pups, that have been born on the ice, should already be swimming. Our "shrub-seals" aren't probably aware, that their real environment is just a little bit further away and their hunger isn't big enough yet, because of their blubber, to go looking for fish.

As can be seen, their social character comes out in an early age, which is why they are waiting together in a group. If one of them decides to "transform" into a seal for good and move to the sea, then the others will follow that one pup.

But for now they are climbing up and down the logs, as scratching and rubbing against different things is vital during coat change.
