Padis returned from his long journey midday on April 17th! I happened to see him when he was fluffing up the bottom of the nest. After a winter in a warm climate he is greeted by Estonian rain and cold weather. But at the nesting place everything must be just right, and so he immediately began to care for things. He brought sticks and moss for reinforcement and also started cleaning. Not like last week’s flaneur who showed no respect for the nest’s cleanliness. Now it’s time to guard the nest and hope that sharing the nest with competitors will be resolved with as little pain as possible. From the camera picture we see that Padis looks longingly toward the flight route.
