Although the weather isn't the most desirable (only five degrees Celcius), I saw the first chick's head emerge from an egg at 9:38 a.m. Suspicious chick peeping was audible a bit earlier! Padis is in the nest and he knows he can't simply admire hatching chicks—it's important to keep them warm. The chick's voice can be heard from underneath Padis. Watch the video.
