The raucous-voiced fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) is common in Estonia in the warm seasons but even during winter quite a few of them stay here. Now most of them have occupied their nesting territories, and soon there will be clutches of eggs. The fieldfare moves more and more into towns; they can often be found in stands of trees. They nest in colonies and are very quarrelsome about their territory. At this time their main food is worms and other invertebrates, in the autumn it was berries.
