Bird expert Agu Leivits said in Kabli on the international bird migration day that the best period to observe the spring migration in Estonia is between May 15 and May 20. So from today on and during the weekend, it is worthwhile to organise a trip to some good place, throw your head back and look upwards, because an enormous number of bird species pass across Estonia now. The last winter visitors are leaving from here, at the same time as the summer nesters are arriving. But plan to have your watching in the morning hours, and not in very windy or stormy weather because then there is not much to be seen.
